I hope this message finds you safe and well during this challenging time.

I want to thank members of the community for doing the right thing and adhering to the public health measures. 

I know you understand what is at stake, and I am confident that if we as a community do the right thing, we will get through this.

There’s a lot of information out there, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to bring it together for you.

I know there is anxiety in the community about the State Government’s decision to introduce Australian Defence Force personnel and we are seeking more information around how those arrangements will work.

To protect you, each other and the community, my office has introduced new arrangements with assisting constituents. We will still be available to assist you with your enquiries.

We are simply ceasing face-to-face interactions until restrictions are lifted, in line with instructions from the federal government.

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Social distancing, self-isolation and uncertainty around finances can be stressful, and impact on our mental health. 

It’s natural to feel stress or anxiety. And there are various support services and resources that you can turn to during this time. 

 

FAMILY VIOLENCE SUPPORT

There have been reports of an increase in family violence.

Violence against women and children is never ok
